  1. WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF

  2. Name it so you can claim power over it.

  3. STEP ONE: WHAT HAPPENS IF

  4. Kick the can down the road a bit and play the game of, ‘what happens if whatever you’re afraid of happens? What’s the worst that can happen?”

  5. STEP TWO: IF, THEN WHAT?

  6. Ok, then what happens? (improvising at jazz camp...public speaking...starting a business, etc)

  7. PERHAPS NOT RATIONAL?

  8. Once we are aware of concerns/potential issues/problems, we now move from fear to making rational, informed decisions. So I’m not afraid to start a business right now, I have gotten valid information that leads me to the conclusion that starting a business right now may not be wise for me at this time. That’s a completely different vibe.

  9. THINGS GROW IF THEY ARE FED

  10. Don’t feed what you know is not true. Don’t self doubt. Don’t devalue. Don’t self destruct but feed what you know to be true. You are enough to be successful. You might need more training or education. More experience. Might have to practice more, but most likely you have the capacity to be successful with the challenge set before you.

  11. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

  12. What prior success have you had? When you had to be successful in other areas or in the past, what did you do there you can use here?

  13. What tools can you use as a template you can apply to other areas?

  14. Truth is you’ve probably experienced success before, so you’re likely to experience success again!

  15. PLAN FOR SUCCESS

  16. Now that you’re aware of what failure looks like, what has to happen for you to be unsuccessful, plan on the opposite. Work hard. Make a plan of action.
